The MICC Skinny Shot, also known as MICC injection or MICC cocktail, is a combination of Methionine, Inositol, Choline, and Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12). This injectable solution is designed to support weight loss efforts and boost metabolism. Here's what each component does:

• Methionine: It is an essential amino acid that aids in the breakdown of fats and helps prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver. Methionine also plays a role in detoxification processes in the body.

2. Avoid Blood Thinners: Stop aspirin, ibuprofen, etc., a week before.

3. Hydration: Drink water to hydrate your skin.

4. Limit Alcohol and Caffeine: 24 hours before treatment.

5. Let Us Know: Allergies, medications, and medical conditions.

6. Nutritional Support: Consider eating a balanced meal rich in nutrients before your appointment to support your overall health and well-being.

7. Dress in comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the injection site(s).

8. Try to relax and stay calm before your appointment. Some individuals may experience anxiety or nervousness before receiving injections, so practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation may be helpful.

1. Potential Side Effects: Some individuals may experience mild side effects such as redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site(s). These side effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own within a few hours to days.

Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP-1) is a physiological incretin hormone from the lower gastrointestinal tract. Where GIP is secreted into the circulation, acts directly on the GIP Receptor (GIPR) expressed by Pancreatic B-Cells, and stimulates insulin secretion. GLP-1 and GIP in higher amounts also interact with the parts of the brain that suppress your appetite and signal you to feel full. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise, it can cause significant weight loss.

Here is a list for our requirements for our Weight Loss Program:
- BMI greater than 27
- Must NOT be a Type 1 Diabetic
- No family or personal history of Medullary Thyroid Cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Sysdrome Type 2
- No personal history of Pancreatitis
- Must NOT be pregnant or breast feeding

- Current Labs (3 months) - CBC, CMP, Lipid Profile & Thyroid Panel, and A1C

- Initial consult with an APRN, monthly follow ups with (RN) & follow ups with APRN every 3 months at our MAC Aesthetics & Wellness location

- Please notify us with any thyroid nodules, voice changes or hoarseness, persistent mid-abdominal pain, or nausea/vomiting. 

- Initial monthly cost for the Semaglutide medication starts at $350 and can increase to $550 depending on the monthly dose recommended by our MAC Aesthetic & Wellness professionals. 

- Initial monthly cost for the Tirzepatide medication starts at $450 and can increase to $750 depending on the monthly dose recommended by our MAC Aesthetic & Wellness professionals. 

- The consults with our nurses each month are $25. 

1. Contact Us: Give us a call or text and one of our team members will get with you for booking!  

2. An initial lab panel is REQUIRED. As stated in the previous question we will need: Current Labs (3 months) - CBC, CMP, Lipid Profile & Thyroid Panel, and A1C. This can be done at your nearest Quest Diagnostics or if you have had these done in the last three months with your PCP (Primary Care Physician) these may be used. 

3. Virtual Consult with our APRN. Prior to this you will need to make sure you have all of the required forms completed (health history and consents). Once cleared by our APRN we will then send your medication. You will have follow ups with our nurses monthly here at Mac Aesthetics & Wellness and our APRN every three months throughout this process.
